mario russo for mayor of caledon

ABOUT MARIO

Mario Russo, his wife, and their three children are proud to call Caledon home.

Family, community, and service have always been at the heart of Mario’s life. He believes deeply in giving back to the community that has given so much to his family, and in helping build a place where others can put down roots and thrive.

Mario also brings a strong private-sector background. He has owned and operated small businesses across Peel and has extensive experience in real estate consulting, property management, and construction. That experience has given him a practical understanding of hard work, responsibility, and the real-world pressures facing families, workers, and local businesses.

He has long been active in the life of the community. He has served as a board member of Caledon Community Services and the Boys and Girls Club of Peel, while also supporting local sports organizations and community initiatives that help make Caledon a strong, connected, and welcoming place to live.

For the past four years, Mario has had the honour of serving residents on Caledon Town Council and at the Region of Peel as Regional Councillor. Through that work, he has gained an even deeper appreciation for the people who make up this community and the values that matter most to them.

Mario studied Biology and Psychology at the University of Toronto, earning a Bachelor of Science, and later completed post-graduate credentials at Kikkawa College as a Registered Massage Therapist and at CSNN as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.

He brings to everything he does experience, judgment, a commitment to helping others, and a genuine love for the community he calls home.

For Mario, Caledon is more than a place. It is home, family, and community.
